Water Treatment Facility Commissioned

Mount. Baldy Water System receives approval From Interior Health. Boil water notification has been rescinded effective December 9, 2008 Moving forward as per the Interior Heath mandate Mount Baldy Waterworks will ensure water reliability through testing as water samples are taken throughout the system once per week. These samples are sent to an independent laboratory for testing. Test results are sent directly to Interior Health. With the new 3 stage treatment process, chlorine disinfection requires samples to be taken throughout the system to ensure an adequate amount of chlorine residual is present as determined by Interior Health. In summary there is an extensive testing program in place to ensure the new process is working as planned. For information on chlorine residuals tested in the system, a notice board will be established on the front of the water treatment building. The notice board will be updated once per week.
